On the other end, Ken was a fan, noting cherry and cardamom on the nose with a smooth palate. I loved its delicate nose with true Pinot Noir characteristics.
Jan felt it was overdone and hot. Brian said it was a bit rough, but could get better with food. Esther, however, loved it and gave it four and a half stars. At $15, it scored three and a half stars.
I liked its color and balance and thought at $20 it was a good value. Kathy called it a "nice, light" Pinot Noir. On the other hand, Randy didn't care for the nose at all and Ken called it "drinkable, but way too expensive."
I loved the chocolate cherry nose and found it quite well-balanced. Lisa enjoyed its nose and smooth long finish. Brian felt it needed more time in bottle.
Center the label on your phone and watch a zombie bust through the label. Get too close to the label and he'll smash your screen. It's great entertainment, but the group wasn't overly impressed with the wine.
"Delectable" said Brian. "... nice fruit smoothness that lingers and satisfies in every way." Wanda called it full and wonderful and said she loved it.
It's an austere, no-nonsense wine, with a soft nose and hints of rhubarb. I made my Prosciutto, goat cheese and fig tarts to pair with this wine and they matched very nicely.
We tried their 2016 Red Wine (clever name, isn't it?) and Jim found it a little sweet with lots of fruit. Ken called it very drinkable. Al felt it needed another year in bottle.
