Harvest and Thanksgiving to me go hand in hand. The crops are in and the process begins anew. The Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association is getting pretty good at this. 31 wineries participated in the 20th Annual Harvest Celebration over the weekend of November 6 and 7. Each participating winery not only offering a taste or two of yet-to-be released wine, they also offered tasty morsels of food. This year’s celebration also marked the 1st Annual Scarecrow Festival. You still have a chance to stop by the wineries and vote for your favorite, although many of the entries have been taken down.
Here again are photos from this fun-filled weekend and my gratitude to the participants: Baily Vineyard and Winery, Briar Rose Winery, Callaway Vineyard & Winery, Inn at Churon Winery, Cougar Vineyards & Winery, Danza del Sol Winery, Doffo Vineyard & Winery, Falkner Winery, Foot Path Winery, Frangipani Estate Winery, Hart Family Winery, Keyways Vineyard & Winery, Leonesse Cellars, Longshadow Ranch Winery, Lorimar Winery, Maurice Car’rie Vineyard & Winery, Miramonte Winery, Monte de Oro Winery, Mount Palomar Winery, Oak Mountain Winery, Palumbo Family Vineyards & Winery, Ponte Family Estate Winery, Robert Renzoni Vineyards, South Coast Winery Resort & Spa, Stuart Cellars Winery, Thornton Winery, Van Roekel Vineyards & Winery, Villa di Calabro Winery & Olive Oil Company, Vindemia Vineyard & Estate Winery, Wiens Family Cellars and Wilson Creek Winery.
