Three Leaning Tower of Pisas and an Eiffel Tower in Temecula? It’s all in a weekend’s work. The Temecula Winegrowers Association presented its 20th popular World of Wine weekend March 5th and 6th at more than 30 Temecula Valley wineries. Each participating winery offered barrel and/or tank samples as well as tasty food pairings. The association also encouraged wineries to create cork art incorporating the World of Wine theme. It was a first opportunity to visit Lumiere Winery as they opened their doors for a sneak preview and an opportunity to taste a few of their wines. Masia de Yabar recently joined the association and was a first time participant.
These events are a perfect way to become acquainted with the wineries of the Temecula Valley and more than 1,400 people took advantage of the great weather to visit and taste the offerings. Food choices ranged from mini grilled cheese sandwiches with roasted tomato soup to Paella to ceviche. The cork art displayed how much talent there is in this valley. I’ll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.
