This is what it’s all about. People getting together to help one another. Saturday, April 17, the 2nd Annual Rhythm & Vine will feature wine tasting, gourmet food, live music and auctions to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego, an organization lending a hand to more than 23,000 youth annually at 17 San Diego locations. It promises to be an amazing evening and with any luck much needed funds will be raised for this worthy organization.
Food will be provided by Champagne French Bakery Café, Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill and Truluck’s Seafood, Steak and Crab House to name a few. Wineries from Temecula, San Diego, Santa Ynez, Paso Robles, Sonoma, Napa and the Vallée de Guadalupe near Ensenada will be pouring including Callaway, Fallbrook Winery, Orfila, Robinson Family and Kiamie Cellars. Brews from Stone Brewing from Escondido, La Jolla Brew House and more as well as spirits from St. Petersburg Russian Vodka, Tequila Fortaleza and others will be available.
That’s just scratching the surface of the food and beverages on hand. Let’s move on to the music and auction, shall we? The evening’s entertainment will begin with at 5:00 with local singer/songwriter John Torres performing an acoustic set. Crossroads will deliver their signature classic rock sound on the VIP stage with sets at 6:00 and 8:45. The evening’s headliner is Atomic Groove with their blend of jazz, soul, rock and dance beginning at 7:00.
