The man was Rex Picket, author of the book Sideways. I sat with Frank Ostini, Gray's partner, who told me he knew something was up when director Alexander Payne walked in.
Pinot lovers are a slightly different breed. They carry a certain air, almost as though they're privy to a secret they don't want to share. It's not really such a mystery. The wine produced from this grape is seductive and sultry.
