Ah yes, back to my earlier promise. After returning to the safe haven of the Stephen Taber, I donned my swim suit and plunged into the frigid 50° water. I can't remember the last time I felt so alive, or so cold. We set sail again and a few hours later enjoyed our second shipboard wine tasting with Italy the focus this time.
A visit to the Maine Lighthouse Museum was our first order of business for the day. 5,300 miles of waterfront make up the coastline of Maine and more than 60 lighthouses shine brightly in an effort to keep ships safe from peril. It's a fascinating visit loaded with artifacts.
