Rhythm & Vines – Lending A Hand To The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego

The weather was ideal. Escondido was the perfect venue for Rhythm and Vine, a fundraiser for the Greater San Diego Boys & Girls Club. Three different musical acts enlivened the evening and food and drink was plentiful. Silent auction items ranged from bottles of wine and spirits, wine tours, fine and casual dining to autographed memorabilia from Bruce Springsteen and Celine Dion.

John Torres

John Torres performed an acoustic set as attendees surveyed the silent auction items. When the event doors opened at 6:00, Crossroads took the main stage with their solid classic rock sound in the VIP area. Across the parking lot Atomic Groove played their mix of dance and R & B.

Cupcake Love

There was a vast selection of food choices and some long lines at Donovan’s Steak House, Rubio’s, Hacienda de Vega, Harney Sushi and others. For those with a sweet tooth there was Cupcake Love and Godiva Chocolate. Several wineries were on hand including locals like Fallbrook Winery and Callaway Vineyard and Winery as well as other wineries from across the state like Kiamie Cellars, Cass and Calcareous from Paso Robles and Robinson Family and Jake-Ryan from Napa. It was good night for beer lovers as well, with offerings from Stone Brewing Company, Pacific Libations and others. Spirits being poured included Tequila Fortaleza, Angel Tequila and St. Petersburg Vodka to name just a few.

Smiles were plentiful and judging by the amounts written in on the silent auction items, much need money was raised for this worthy organization. Mark this event on your calendar for next year. It’s truly one you won’t want to miss.
