Spicing Up Old Town Temecula – Curry Vineyards

Charlie opened Curry Vineyards’ tasting room in the lobby of the Palomar Inn Hotel in Old Town Temecula at the beginning of the year. Chris is a great storyteller. He shared a story with us about a lady who called him and said her parents had a vineyard in Hemet that needed harvesting. He loaded the truck with bins, buckets and miscellaneous tools and when he arrived at the property discovered “the vineyard” consisted of one vine.

Leonesse Cellars – Meet Mike Rennie & Gary Winder

When they decided to locate the winery on De Portola Road, more than a few eyebrows were raised. There were only two other wineries on the road at the time: Keyways and Filsinger. Keyways was open only occasionally; Filsinger was open on weekends only. Several owners of wineries on Rancho California Road told them they were making a big mistake. They honestly wondered if they were making a mistake themselves.

Rhythm & Vines – Lending A Hand To The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego

For those with a sweet tooth there was Cupcake Love and Godiva Chocolate. Several wineries were on hand including locals like Fallbrook Winery and Callaway Vineyard and Winery as well as other wineries from across the state like Kiamie Cellars, Cass and Calcareous from Paso Robles and Robinson Family and Jake-Ryan from Napa. It was good night for beer lovers as well, with offerings from Stone Brewing Company, Pacific Libations and others.
